I was at this concert. You did a great job of capturing these live moments. Every time I see these photos it takes me to the feeling as if I were right there, all over again.

Well everything is shot in raw first even if I know I want it to be B&W in the end I will shoot it in B&W mode so I can see what it will look like on my screen but the actual file is still in color and will actually process them B&W in the computer, I do this because typically B&W photos need to be a stop lighter (techincal jargon) to get the skin tones to the right level. Every BW conversion is an art, which you learn in the dark room and all of those rules and techniques are used digitally as well. The hard part is getting interesting skin tones that are not muddy and “digital”.I shoot with a Nikon D3 as my main camera. Hope that helps! Josh

Do you add the black and white effect in post, or do you use the camera setting? What camera do you use? I’m a budding photographer, and I think your work is incredible.
