Katz Wedding / Leipers Fork, TN

Elizabeth and Matt were married at her parents home outside of Franklin, TN. There was light rain on and off all day so we were in tents for most of it, but that didn’t slow the party. Elizabeth is a swimsuit designer for Target, and Matt is a rockabilly guitarist in New York. They were so unique and fun and definitely not your typical Nashville wedding. Probably one of my favorite parts of the wedding, besides the rain on the see-through tent during the wedding, was the lighting in the reception tent. Lighting is key always but especially in a tent at night. Some people think that just candle light will make for a romantic experience. Candles won’t help your photos, so think about a really great lighting professional, they will be able to keep a romantic environment while helping the photos be amazing.

We have all decorated our homes with Josh’s amazing photographs since the wedding. He has an incredible ability to capture people as themselves, and preserve special moments in time.

Josh captured my sister’s wedding so wonderfully! I am a photographer myself, so I am very picky, but he did such an amazing job that I’m having him shoot my wedding in April. The best part about him is that he got along with everyone at the wedding and was really an important part of the day. He is very personable and spontaneous in the way he shoots, and knows how to interact with the guests, which makes for some very unique and memorable images.

The thing Josh does so well is capture the whole event! From the flower girl to the grandparents to the bride and groom themselves, you get a real “picture” of the joy and celebration of a beautiful wedding. We can’t wait until he captures our daughter’s wedding in a month or so!

What wonderful memories! We’ll never forget this very special day – thank you for being a part of it and understanding our vision. I love the way the posed shots with the shotgun came out. And those little girls are such princesses!! We were truly lucky to find you guys!
